About me 👩🏾💻
I am a Ph.D. student in the UKRI Foundational Artificial Intelligence (AI) CDT at University College London, affiliated with the Centre for Artificial Intelligence. I am supervised by Prof. Emine Yilmaz and Prof. David Barber, and am also a DeepMind Scholar, after being awarded a full PhD scholarship by EPSRC and Google DeepMind.
My current research centres on bias, fairness, synthetic data, and rigorous evaluation of AI systems, driven by my passion for responsible AI and interdisciplinary research.

Attending this summer school was an enriching experience that deepened my knowledge of NLP and advanced topics like machine translation and multimodal AI. The program offered hands-on labs, inspiring talks, and the opportunity to connect with likeminded researchers from around the world.

Incredibly grateful to have been selected as one of 13 exciting startups out of 108 teams, to pitch at Demo Day 2024 -the grand finale of this incredible program! I’m thrilled to share that my pitch earned 2nd place in the audience vote 🙌. The day was filled with insightful discussions with investors, and I’m excited to be featured in this newsletter highlighting the event!

I am honoured to be part of the DeepMind scholar community and was thrilled to be invited to the reception preceding Dr. Demis Hassabis' prestigious UCL Prize Lecture. The opportunity to engage with the community and Dr Demis Hassabis himself, who reiterated the importance of AI bias and fairness research, was truly inspiring and will undoubtedly remain a highlight of my PhD journey.
